The Lembeh Straits is known for world class muck diving. A typical dive here will take you over a bare and silty black sand seabed with the occasional rocky outcrop or lump of wood. But don't let that first impression fool you.....

Hidden in the sand or perfectly camouflaged against a bit of sponge different species of stargazer, frogfish and scorpionfish are waiting for their prey. Rotting vegetation provides shelter to ghost pipefish and seahorses.
